Outstanding Counsellor and Therapy in Barnstaple

Welcome to Helen Stephenson Therapeutic Counsellor, where I strive to provide a safe, caring, and supportive space for individuals in need of therapeutic help. As a well-informed, experienced, and practising individual-centred therapist in Devon, I strive to assist my clients in making tangible changes in their lives. Through my experiences, I have gained a deep understanding of the challenges and pressures that individuals may face in their daily lives and have real empathy for the burdens they carry.

I believe that every person deserves support, kindness, and peace. I aim to offer a safe and non-judgmental space where my clients can explore a broad range of emotional issues, including anxiety, depression, loss, and trauma. My practise is informed by a variety of therapeutic approaches, with an emphasis on person-centred counselling, cognitive-behavioural therapy, and mindfulness. I also integrate other theories and use different approaches within the therapy if I feel the client may benefit from them.

At Helen Stephenson Therapeutic Counsellor, I also make it clear that I am willing to help clients from all backgrounds, including those who are funded, self-funded, or on NHS medical waiting lists. My ongoing work and being NCPS accredited also demonstrate my dedication to helping those affected by suicide, demonstrating that anyone in need of healing deserves timely and appropriate care.

If you feel like you could benefit from confidential, compassionate support provided by a skilled and experienced individual-centred therapist, then please don't hesitate to get in touch at 074 978 84692. I am here to listen, to provide the assistance that you need, to give you a break from all the noise and stress, and to empower you with tools and techniques to live your best life.
